This four-day tour invites you to explore the emblematic sites of the Inca Empire, alternating cultural visits with natural discoveries. From Cusco, the ancient Inca capital, you will wander through its historic streets before heading to the Sacred Valley, where archaeological sites and local traditions intermingle with the daily lives of the inhabitants. Between the terraces of Pisac, the Salineras de Maras, and the farmlands of Chinchero, each stop offers an opportunity to learn more about Andean know-how and the ingenuity of the Incas. Finally, the journey concludes with a visit to Machu Picchu, an architectural masterpiece nestled in the heart of the mountains, offering a final glimpse into this fascinating civilization.
Itinerary
Jour 1 : Cusco
Upon arrival in Cusco, settle in and take time to adjust to the altitude. The afternoon is dedicated to exploring the city and its main historical sites.
Day 2: Pisac and Inkary Museum
Departure to Awanacancha to learn more about Andean camelids and the art of weaving. The tour continues to the archaeological site of Pisac before a lunch break at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, explore the Inkary Museum in Calca before returning to your accommodation in the Sacred Valley (not included).
Day 3: Chinchero, Maras, Moray
Immersion in a community near Chinchero with an introduction to local textile and agricultural know-how. After a short walk, head to the Salineras de Maras, followed by lunch or a picnic. In the afternoon, visit the Moray site before another night in the Sacred Valley.
Day 4: Machu Picchu
Morning transfer to the train station for a train ride to Aguas Calientes. After lunch at a tourist restaurant, climb to Machu Picchu for a tour of the site. Return to Cusco at the end of the day.
