Arequipa, the white and rebellious city

Arequipa, the white and rebellious city

Discover Arequipa and southern Peru through a 4-day, 3-night itinerary combining nature, culture, and traditions.

Arequipa, the white city, seduced by its colonial architecture and refined gastronomy. The SMoche alarm and the Salinas Lagoon offer striking landscapes between salt flats and Andean fauna. The Colca Canyon, one of the deepest in the world, impresses with its magnificent panoramas and the majestic flight of the condors.

Arequipa is often called the "rebel city" due to its history marked by independence movements and political protest. It played a key role in several revolts against the central power in Lima, notably during Peru's independence and during the 19th and 20th centuries.

This rebellious identity is also reflected in its strong character, regional pride and independent spirit, making it a city with a strong and unique identity within the country.
