Itinerary
Jour 1 : Cusco
Route to Tambomachay - Walk from Tambomachay to the Temple of the Moon. Then horseback ride to Sacsayhuaman. Free afternoon, visit of Cusco. Night at the Hotel

Day 2: Vinicunca
Day trip to the Seven Colors Mountains. Depart early in the morning to reach the parking lot, then hike for about 2 hours to the viewpoint. Return to Cusco around 5 p.m. Lunch included.

Day 3 : Humantay Lagoon
Bus transfer to Soraypampa, the starting village of the Salkantay hike. In the afternoon, a little warm-up by going up to the Humantay lagoon then return to Soraypampa for the first camp.

Day 4: Soraypampa → Collpapampa
Distance: 22 km Elevation gain: +750 m / -1,800 m Duration: 7 to 10 hours Departure from Soraypampa (3,900 m), steep climb to the Salkantay Pass (4,650 m), the highest point of the trek. Steep descent to Huayracmachay (3,850 m) for lunch, then continue to Collpapampa (2,850 m) crossing more lush vegetation. Demanding but magnificent stage! Night in camp.

Day 5 : Collpampa → City
Distance: 15 km Elevation gain: +1,000 m / -300 m Duration: 6 to 8 hours Departure from Collpapampa (2,850 m), entry into the tropical forest with waterfalls and coffee plantations. Gradual climb to Llactapata (2,850 m), an Inca site offering a first view of Machu Picchu. Night in camp with an exceptional panorama!

Day 6 : Llactapata → Hot Water
Distance: 14 km Elevation gain: +200 m / -1,200 m Duration: 5 to 7 hours Steep descent from Llactapata (2,850 m) to the Hidroeléctrica River (1,800 m), crossing the jungle with a last view of Machu Picchu. Lunch break, then walk along the railway to Aguas Calientes (2,040 m). Last night before the final climb to Machu Picchu! Overnight at the hotel.

Day 7: Machu Picchu
The long-awaited visit to Machu Picchu! Then walk to Machu Picchu mountain or Wayna Picchu mountain (your choice) and return at the end of the day to Cusco. Night in Cusco
